I have them all – KitchenAid, Braun, Krups, Cuisinart, Capresso ST600 and MT600 all new heights

    The Good:

Piping Hot Coffee – 180 degrees in the carafe after brewing.
warm weather brewing really takes the flavor of coffee.
conical filter (I do not like the type of basket).
    Easy to use timer.
Brews quickly, 10 cups in about 6 minutes.
    heater in stainless steel.
    small footprint on the counter, only 8 “x 9″ x 14 “.
    jug without trickle.
carafe keeps coffee hot for hours.
    Cord storage in the body.
Very chic look at the counter.

    The Bad:

The level indicator on the side is difficult to see when pouring water into the tank.

This is an excellent choice if you want a coffee carafe breaststroke heat unit hot enough not to microwave.

Capresso MT-600 was introduced to replace the old model MT-500. Both models have the same functions and features, but there are two differences:

    * MT-500 has a cast aluminum housing. The MT-600 has a machined steel housing.
    * MT-500 is made in Portugal. The MT-600 is manufactured in China.

I recently bought the TM-600 to a filter coffee machine which Mr. has served me well for over 15 years to replace. I decided on the MT-600 because I wanted a thermal carafe and built a water filter. I also had confidence in the brand Capresso because my two sisters CoffeeTEC model Capresso for many years the property, and filter coffee machines are absolutely fantastic.

So I was very disappointed when I found the Capresso MT-600 is weak and lukewarm coffee. I read the instructions carefully to ensure that the machine I used exactly designed. I tried different beans and grinds coffee to strengthen it. I heated the carafe before brewing the temperature increase. But what I have made adjustments, coffee has always been low and warm.

Capresso I called to ask why coffee is low, even when I double the standard amount of reasons. They said he has to do with the way water is distributed (or rather, not distributed) on the grounds during brewing. I went back and looked at the filter after brewing a pot, and yes, there was a mound of earth deep in the middle of the field. So the problem seems to be that water is drawn through the center of the filter is not distributed evenly over the soil, making the land along the perimeter widely unbrewed.

I also measured temperature of the coffee immediately after brewing, and as another review mentioned, coffee hits the pitcher to 180 degrees. But even if the carafe is heated to the boiling water, it loses its heat quickly. The other problem with the carafe is that even if you align the points exactly as shown, the flow of coffee over a layer of warmth to a trickle. So while the coffee brews at 180 degrees, the temperature is much weaker when it touches your very first cup.

I thought about why my experience is so different from Capresso owners of the veteran, and I can only conclude that the new machines are not the same quality than the older machines. Take a read user reviews posted on the MT-500 model and you will find that people who have their Capressos for over 2 years, that love and rave about their coffee. The same applies to owners Capresso in my own family. My sisters machines “are strong after 5 years of intensive use, while my new Capresso has been a non-starter.

So, unfortunately, I will return the Capresso MT — 600 in favor of a better machine. I doubt if I find something beautiful in appearance, but a better coffee, it is especially in this price!

( One last point … it seems some confusion about the construction materials of the MT-600. The heating block is covered with stainless steel to prevent water contact with aluminum components of the machine. So If you are concerned about the aluminum, MT-600 takes care of everything. But like almost every drop of coffee on the market, water reservoir and filter holder are made of plastic. If you want to avoid plastic completely , a manufacturer of French press coffee or a standard can only options.)

I wanted to believe that you get what you pay for. If a few dollars more you get a better built, more sustainable products, even better – that’s money well spent. The purchase of this machine does not follow this model. The MT600, a few dollars more you get something slightly worse than an entry level MrCoffee. I used my MT600 for three days and transformed. The biggest problems I encountered were with the thermal carafe. The first is a boundary on the plastic spout extending from the tip down into the carafe. This caused the rear to carry a jug of coffee and spill on the counter. I tried to pay slowly, soon in touch with my mouth, no contact, etc. The leak was inevitable. I finished sanding the seam away with fine sandpaper and the problem has been solved. The next song was very poor coverage. The coarse son who will not line-up. The biggest problem is that both parties – the threaded part and the upper part. As you saw below, when you get a little too far, the top is to connect the threaded part and the real is itself disassembly. Once this started to happen, I knew I was not the quality I had hoped. On the cup, the coffee was very good. Based on this experience, I am a firm believer that you might get what you pay, but not if you paid a MT600.

We now have brewed 5 pots with the MT600 and we like it a lot. We normally 8 cups and ends in just under 6 minutes. The coffee is nice and warm, sipping blow to us. Force with DD ground coffee is rich and beautiful, with a ball by slightly rounded cup. Carafe lid has positive click to let you know when the well is not sealed when it is time to slip loose. Filter holder is beautifully designed hook commitment that ensures that when the pot is stuck underneath. Carafe keeps coffee fresh for a few hours after we have a cup in the microwave 30 seconds to strike.

Easy to fill and fill indicator for me, it’s easy to see.

    This is definitely a keeper.

  5. H.J. Jones Says:

I have owned several luxury and budget-friendly coffee cafe in the past and was worried about my new Capresso. I am very disappointed by this product for the following reasons:

    – Coffee is supposed to warm and Brew coffee thermal carafe designed to keep warm. The coffee is hotter than a $ 15 coffee and Caraffe keep it warm enough for the Cup 2nd. Even in the shortest duration of 10 minutes of the first cup of coffee in the second of the warming we need.

    – Coffee is a mess! The cast Caraffe lid when not settle how the lid down. If you open a revolution spills on the counter and it happens no matter how little or how much you open the lid.

    – Caraffe is difficult to open and close. Cover not working well and not easy.

    – The coffee is weak. I use the same amount of grain that we have the same land used for years with other machines and for some reason, coffee is still weak. This is another design flaw in the way water is distributed on the basket or filter.

    – Coffee is supposed to stir quickly, 8 minutes for a pot. Ours took 15 minutes and we’ve only owned it for 2 weeks, so there is no sediment, etc. built

Save your money or use the money you spend on coffee and buy something else. You will not regret it!
