Issues:
1) Designed for a left handed person. To pour water in you have to turn the coffee maker backwards to be able to pour it in from right to left.
2) The switch operates poorly
3) Coffee grounds splash back on lid and it has to be cleaned out after each cup of coffee made.
4) You get what you pay for, I paid a little and got a poor product. . . .

This is a great little coffee maker. Very fast and hot. I like that you can use either pods or a coffee filter with your own ground coffee. Also, has enough height clearance for a taller coffee cup. Would recommend it for someone looking for an office coffee maker at their desk or at home if you just want one cup of fast brewed coffee.

Product looked good but did not work well. Made coffee quick but it was always luke-warm and if you added milk, cold. Tried it five times then gave it away. DO NOT BUY IF YOU LIKE HOT COFFEE.

I bought this coffee maker for my office because the coffee that my company provides is awful. The size is perfect and fits just about anywhere. But that's about all that I like about this coffee maker. The filter cone is pretty small, and you can't really put more than 2 spoons of coffee in the filter or else the water can't get through it. The first time I made it, I filled the cone almost to the top, and I got about 3 to 4 oz of coffee. When I opened the machine to see why the coffee wasn't coming out, I saw that all the water had collected at the top of the filter and essentially couldn't make it's way through the coffee grinds because I had put in too much. The next time that I made it, I put less grinds and I got a pretty weak cup of coffee. Also, it's supposed to make a 12 oz cup, but I don't think I ever got more than 10 oz. By the third time that I used it, I noticed that there were coffee grinds in the water dispenser, and it's hard to clean out. It's too small to get your hand in, so I had to stick the whole coffee maker under the faucet to clean it. It also takes FOREVER for one cup to brew. It heats up pretty quickly, but the coffee literally drips one drop at a time out of the machine. Overall, I'm not impressed with this coffee maker, but it's not worth the shipping cost to send it back. I'll probably just go buy one of those 4-cup Mr. Coffee machines, which is what I should have done in the first place.

I purchased the West Bend on sale because I liked the price. However, after using it several weeks, I like the product. It is easy to use, one heaping tablespoon of coffee or open the little Kuerig containers, and pour it in to the permanent metal filter. It is easy to clean after it cools and prepare it for the next cup. If you want one cup at a time, this is an excellent value and performs as promised.
